Okay blogstalkers, I'm so sorry for the delay. Wedding season is full throttle. Here's my Kauai couple nicknamed : NIMO.
Melody and Nick were dreamy to work for. Melody is lively and spontaneous. Her smile and matter of fact personality make me giddy. She's beautiful inside and out. Nick gets pennies in heaven with me, because he agreed to being dragged ll over the island in his rented Jeep! Not to mention he works with Nintendo and has nintendo bandaid holders. In my book that is very cool.
On a personal note, I discovered how traveling alone for destination gigs suits me perfeclty. I think more creatively under pressure. Knowing there will not be second shooter to supplement angles gets me going! The more impossible, grueling, and stressful the job, the more fun it is. Photographing local and destination weddings has been an interesting personal discovery experience. I feel quiet and aware of my surroundings while shooting solo. There's a good possibility, a very good chance in fact, that I will not use assistants in 2010. I don't necessarily agree with the mentality that more is better. Granted, there's a novelty to having a variety of angles, it doesn't seem to be my style as of late. I hope you've enjoyed these little personal notes and now its time to roll! Back to my gorgeous flirty couple, thank you SO much for the priviledge of working with you!

In early July an athlete drove up from Portland to shoot with me. His portrait session was in the works for months! Josh deserves a slap on the back, his dedication and persistance in the gym helped him become the man he is today. Beneath the big curls and joval smile, it revealed an inner comic with the beginnings of bulging biceps. MUA Jenni Madsen helped me at this shoot with Josh's light features and gorgeous skin, it was a cinch. In fact, it was the most gorgeous skin I've ever seen up close! Enjoy this slideshow from our shoot. Thanks Josh and congrats on your success!
Their colors were bright, fresh and flirty! I loved working with their bouquest, thanks Patti for making the flowers amazing!
They were super happy and smiley on this fine occasion. Kim has a great smile and laughs easily around Brad.
A little tenderoni moment that we caught minutes before the ceremony.
Kim watched the ceremony below as the ring bearer put on a hilarious show. He threw himself on the ground, laid there for a while, then threw his shoe in the water and ran off!
Another tenderoni moment. I don't usually take up the rear of the ceremony, but I felt this one had something special waiting for me.
More gorgeous flowers thanks to Patti's magic. Gerber daisies lined the isles!
