Let's party like rockstars into 2010! Big hugs from my family to yours!

| Carina and Stren hosted a 3 day wedding event on Lopez Island at a private residence. I will be blogging each day separately as it unfolded! They welcomed guests on August 7th, 2009 with a sweet barn shindig. As the barn packed in more guests, the hoe down began! It kicked off with tunes from an accordian and flutes and some rambling guy who talked faster than most people can run. You can see here, the dress code called for western threads and spurs. I had the pleasure of working with many of my favorite Seattle wedding professionals, all of whom I will list on the part 2 of this 3 part series! Check back for more over the holidays!

| A note on square dancing, its mega tough to do, much less photograph! I was having a blast watching them do-si-do and fly down the aisles linking arms. Who knew it was Seattle....

The lovely couple Carina and Stren!

| As the night wore on, the bride escaped on a go cart with the biggest flash light in existence. It could've weighed 25lbs. Lopez Island is mostly uncharted, but nicely so! It made for an exciting lodging, eating, and travel experience. By far the most exciting night of my life at a destination wedding. A little bat flew around my room around 11pm and encored around midnight. Bats are cool.

Here's a sexy diva named Nick, she is the overall winner of the Ironman 2009 competition held in Snoqualmie Casino. Check out some of her fitness shots from the session. Congrats on winning, she tells me she will be in better shape next year. I don't know how that's possible!

Christine and Michael's Mission Inn wedding in Riverside, CA was the most unique wedding I've photographed to date. Unique in many ways, but specifically with a tango instrumental as the bride walked down the isle. I can't wait to blog this one! The ceremony took place at sunset on Halloween.

| While doing Tacoma headshots of Diane, fitness competitor, we chattered about her future in modeling. I love her nordic features. She has legs for miles. But back to her headshots, this would be her classic beauty shot. Natural makeup, product-free hair.
|

| We took a creative detour after we got through the basic shots. I asked her to sport a classic 1920's top hat and tie her hair back. Same makeup as before. Considering it was her first shoot, Diane surprised me. It made my day.

| In early September i took a fabulous trip to Santa Barbara. It was a lovely day, warm, sunny, typical California weather. I shot with Tammy Morse and James Ory at a beach in Santa Barbara . I loved this cliffside setting. James scouted this place long ago and felt it was perfect. I have to agree! In February I'm flying to Phoenix to shoot their Montelucia wedding. Their engagement session was several hours long, it was an extended shoot, but all the more fun.
|

They have an amazing energy together, playful, loving, sweeet, and genuine. It makees taking pictures super easy.
|

| i like James. I really really like him. You never know what he's going to say. You never know what he's going to do next. He is just James. Unpredictable and charming. Someone who knows himself and doesn't really give a shit about what other people think. Taking pictures of people who are honest with themselves is like stealing candy from a baby.

| Made it just in time for sunset. Ahh.
